It’s nearly here. Book three. Killer in the New Forest.

On an icy evening in January a meeting of the Gymkhana Society is held in the village hall.
The meeting is well attended but it is late in the evening when it ends. People are in a hurry to go home and get their children to bed or to rush to the local pub before last orders. The exodus is abruptly halted when the first vehicle to leave the village hall reverses over a man and kills him.

Why the New Forest?

The ‘New’ Forest isn’t so new,  It was proclaimed a royal forest by William the Conqueror in about 1079, and is one of the largest tracts of unenclosed pasture land, heathland and forest in England. Read more about the New Forest here.
